Privacy Policy
How Novora Asset Finance Ltd collects, uses and protects personal information, and the rights you have over it.
Last updated: September 2026
Who we are
Novora Asset Finance Ltd (“Novora”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 16920025, with a registered office at Bryn-Y-Wawr, Rudry, Caerphilly, CF83 3DF, and we trade from 23 Bartlett Street, Caerphilly, CF83 1JS.
We are an Appointed Representative of Acorn Business Finance Ltd T/a SJT Corporate Finance Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under reference number 822913.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number [ICO REGISTRATION NUMBER]. Questions about this policy, or about how we handle your information, should go to proposals@novoraassetfinance.co.uk or 0333 772 1558.
The information we collect
Information you give us. Your name, business name, job title, email address, telephone number, and details of the finance you are looking for — the asset, the amount, the timescale and anything you tell us about the business.
Information about your business. Company registration details, filed accounts and director information obtained from Companies House and from credit reference and business information agencies.
Financial information. Bank statements, management accounts, existing finance agreements and similar documents, where these are needed to place a proposal with a lender.
Information about your use of this website. Pages visited, the link or advertisement that brought you here, and technical information such as browser type. See our Cookie Policy.
We do not seek special category data. If a lender requires health or similar information to support an application, we will explain why before you provide it.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange finance — because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and for the performance of our agreement with you.
- To assess how fundable a proposal is, including the indicative funding score on this website — our legitimate interest in matching enquiries to appropriate lenders and in not submitting proposals that are likely to be declined.
- To submit proposals to lenders on your behalf — performance of our agreement with you, and your consent where a credit search is involved.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including anti-money-laundering checks, record keeping and complaint handling — compliance with a legal obligation.
- To improve our service and market similar services to business customers — our legitimate interests. You can opt out of marketing at any time, and every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
Lenders and funders. To arrange finance we pass your information to lenders on our panel. Each lender is a separate data controller and will handle your information under its own privacy policy. We approach a shortlist chosen for your circumstances, not the whole panel.
Credit reference and fraud prevention agencies. Searches and checks are carried out as described in our Fair Processing Notice, which you should read alongside this policy.
Service providers. We use third parties to run our systems, including hosting and database providers, our customer relationship management system, and email and telephony providers. They act on our instructions under written terms and may not use your information for their own purposes.
Professional advisers and regulators. Our principal firm, auditors, insurers and legal advisers, and the FCA, the Financial Ombudsman Service or the ICO where we are required or entitled to do so.
Our group. Where a different product would suit you better, we may introduce you to Simply Factoring Brokers. We will tell you before we do, and you can decline.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass your details to lead generators.
Where your information is held
Our systems are hosted within the UK and European Economic Area wherever possible. Where a provider processes information outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum approved by the ICO, together with appropriate additional safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not proceed: [24] months from your last contact with us.
- Customers with a completed agreement: six years from the end of the agreement, to meet our regulatory record-keeping and tax obligations.
- Anti-money-laundering records: five years from the end of the business relationship.
- Marketing preferences and opt-outs: kept indefinitely, so that we honour your choice.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you; to have inaccurate information corrected; to ask us to erase information or restrict how we use it; to object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests, including direct marketing; to receive information you gave us in a portable format; and to withdraw consent where we rely on it.
Write to proposals@novoraassetfinance.co.uk. We will respond within one month. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, on 0303 123 1113, or at Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
Automated decision-making
The indicative funding score shown on this website is generated automatically from information filed at Companies House. It is a guide to help us direct your enquiry — it is not a credit decision, and no decision with legal or similarly significant effects is made about you on an automated basis by us.
Lenders to whom we submit a proposal may use automated decision-making as part of their own underwriting. Where that happens, the lender will tell you about it and about your right to request human intervention.
Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least annually. Where we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you directly.
